ABOUT THE SERIES

Strategy changes when the organisation has to act on it.

The series explores what happens when leaders have to turn ambition into operating reality — making choices about investment, leadership, capability, governance, technology and organisational change.

The focus is on what leaders actually encountered, the decisions they made and what they learned when execution became difficult.

GUESTS & STORIES

Have a story worth examining?

I’m currently speaking with potential guests who have led through significant AI, data, technology or business transformation.

I’m particularly interested in experiences where the reality proved more complicated than the original strategy — difficult trade-offs, unexpected constraints, changes of direction, failures as well as successes, and lessons that would be useful to other senior leaders.

A useful conversation does not need a perfect outcome. It does need a real decision, meaningful consequence and something other leaders can learn from.
